sensory-friendly certified

Creating spaces where everyone belongs.

At the Autism Hero Project, we believe inclusion isn’t just a nice idea—it’s a necessity. That’s why we created the Sensory-Friendly Certified™ program: to empower businesses, organizations, and community spaces to create environments where autistic individuals and those with sensory sensitivities can feel comfortable, respected, and welcome.

Why it matters
Sensory overload is real. Bright lights, loud noises, strong smells—these everyday things can become overwhelming for someone on the spectrum. By making thoughtful changes, we help open doors—literally and figuratively—for individuals and families who are often left out.

What being certified means
When a business becomes Sensory-Friendly Certified™, it shows a deep commitment to inclusion. Certification means your staff has been trained, your space has been assessed, and meaningful accommodations have been made. From quieter hours to visual aids and understanding teams—you’re sending a clear message: You belong here.

We were honored to present this meaningful award as a symbol of appreciation and unity. At the Autism Hero Project, we believe in recognizing those who are creating impact and embodying inclusion in action.

The elephant symbolizes more than strength and wisdom—it reminds us of the power of community, perseverance, and purpose. And just like a puzzle, every piece matters. Each one of us plays a role in shaping a more inclusive world for autistic individuals and beyond.

We’re grateful for the beautiful energy shared by those who walk alongside us in this mission. Thank you for being part of the journey—and for helping us build a future where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported.
